Todd VanderMolen is a managing director at XMS Capital Partners with over 28 years of investment banking experience. Todd re-joined XMS in 2023, after previously working at the firm from 2010-2018. Todd leads the firm’s efforts in paper & packaging and also assists in the firm’s broader coverage of general industrials. Todd’s experience within packaging ranges across the sector’s various material substrates, product applications and geographies. He has advised both corporate and private equity clients on complex M&A and financing transactions throughout his career, with extensive experience in corporate carve-outs for clients including Bemis Company, Clarcor Inc. and Veritiv Corporation.

Prior to re-joining XMS, Todd spent 5 years at Greenhill & Co., where he was head of Packaging coverage and also spent time as a co-head of Financial Sponsor coverage. Prior his first tenure at XMS, Todd began his banking career and spent 13 years at Lehman Brothers in the Natural Resources and Industrial Groups in New York and Chicago, respectively.

Todd graduated with Honors from Northwestern University with a BA in economics and mathematical methods in the social sciences and earned an MBA with Honors from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
